Fantastic sunshine…

After that first long ride on the Sunday I did a couple of shorter ones during that week just to keep the legs moving and trying to get abit faster each time. Thanks to Jo Wildsmith who accompanied me on the second one that week – it’s always nice to have some company ūüôā ¬†

The next big ride was planned for the following Saturday 19th March. My Dad and I cycled from their house in Ernesford Grange out to Draycote Water which looked absolutely beautiful twinkling in the bright sunshine and when we got there at 9.45am there was hardly anyone there so it was really peaceful too. I did a fast lap of the reservoir and then we cycled home completing 26 miles in all in perfect cycling conditions.

Tuesday was a quick 12 miles after work and then Thursday I did 30 miles from home though the villages of Shilton, Bretford, King’s Newnham, Brandon, Stretton-Under-Fosse, Monks Kirby, Withybrook,¬†Wolvey & Bulkington. It was another fantastic day of bright blue skies and sunshine.

This was the first day I have felt a little saddle sore and although I thoroughly enjoyed the ride it was nice to get off the bike at the end!¬†I also had today off so¬†thought I would see how it felt to get on the bike 2 days on the trot so I just did a couple of miles up the canal with the dogs – the gel seat and new gel leggings definately helped take the edge off getting back on the bike again ūüôā¬†

If you would like to sponsor me you can do so quick and securely through my fundraising page

Thanks for reading ūüôā
